Broken Homes is a long-form piece, conceived and produced over two days deep in the idyllic Derbyshire countryside. Gradually merging electronics, guitar, piano and voice form evolving patterns both comforting and melancholy, familiar and unresolved. This reflective work is James Murray’s longest single composition to date, his first release on Hibernate, and stands as a quiet monument to the frailty of human relationships.
